Day 1 of the TCEA 2009 Conference overall was a pretty good day, despite the fact that the presenter for the first session I attended did not make it and I had to slip into another session already in progress.  I was able to attend six total presentations throughout the entire day, each 30-45 minutes long.  Although all six were good presentations, three of them really stood out and that is why I blogged about them.  However, once I get back to the district, I will post some information regarding all the sessions that occurred throughout the day.

One of the things they provided all of us in attendance was a CD containing all the presentations along with lesson plans, rubrics, samples, etc of those sessions provided by the teachers who presented.  I will probably post some of the ones I consider to be the best on this blog, however, if you would like a copy of the entire CD let me know and I will provide that to you as soon as possible; copies are allowed to be made according to the TATN.

I am hoping that some of these sessions, lessons and projects that I blog about or post will inspire some of you all to bring that into your classroom or at least contact me and ask me how we can go about bringing that into your classroom.  Technology by no means is the be all end all of education, it is another tool that we can provide our students that will allow them to showcase their knowledge of ANY subject matter, not just technology.  Of course if you already use technology in your classroom dont be scared to share that knowledge with your colleagues not only on your campus, but throughout the district.

I will provide some pictures and video of some of the future sessions and activities that occur in the next couple of days at the conference.
