I have always been fascinated with the stars, the planets, the moon, etc. However, I grew up in a time where most of my information as kid was through reading magazines, books and encyclopedia’s; most of which were outdated within a couple of years.
Through the use of technology most of us and our students can get information online now with updates happening almost immediately as something changes. I came across a website that looks to become an amazing site to visit. This website was created by the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. It will take you through the Apollo 11 moon landing from Stage 1 on up on the 40th Anniversary of the landing.
The web site–WeChooseTheMoon.org–goes live at 8:02 a.m. on July 16, 90 minutes before the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 launch from Cape Canaveral, Fla. It will track the capsule’s route from the Earth to the Moon, ending with the moon landing and Armstrong’s walk–in real time, but 40 years later. – eschoolnews.com
The website so far features interactivity, photos, videos, audio both previously recorded and live streaming. They also have it setup so that you can follow them on Twitter. So, stop reading and blast on over to the site!
